Food and Non-Food-Contact Surfaces Cleanable, Properly Designed, Constructed and Used
4-202.11 - Priority Foundation: Food-Contact Surfaces-Cleanability. For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4574/AMC-Toolbox---Food-Contact-Surfaces. Addl Notes: Establishment has resumed using a meat slicer which does not appear to meet NSF/ANSI or equivalent standards for cleaning. PIC provided and ETL Intertek sign with the identifier "3152594" that is posted on the wall. No results were returned on the intertek directory for this certification number or the machine model number. Observed food debris on the blade after being washed, rinsed and sanitized and stored as cleaned per PIC. Observed sharp corners and threaded nuts and bolts to secure the blade assembly. Observed small welds and a rough texture on the inside of the device. No NSF label was observed on the units. All food-contact surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. A re-inspection will be conducted on 10/12/2026 to ensure the unit is no longer in use or an NSF or equivalent machine has been purchased. Corrective Action: Correct prior to re-inspection.
