3-202.15 - Priority Foundation: Package Integrity. For a permanent fix to this violation, check out these simple tools in our Active Managerial Control Toolbox, made especially for you. https://www.maricopa.gov/4619/AMC-Toolbox---Approved-Source. Addl Notes: Observed two rusted seam cans, three cans with dented seams, multiple frozen food packages opened and some with the product fully out of the packaging (full pizzas, pizza pockets, corn). Discussed with PIC that the damaged cans must be taken off of the shelves and separated from the good cans. Discussed with PIC that if the package integrity has been impacted (opened, cut, damaged), the product must be pulled off the shelf. PIC removed opened products and dented cans from the shelves at time of inspection. Swollen, rusted and cans dented on any of the 3 can seams (top, bottom, side) or deep, sharp dents should be considered unsafe. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
