Sewage and Waste Water Properly Disposed
PRIORITY VIOLATION-5-402.13 - Priority: Conveying Sewage Addl Notes: Observed the trough drain near to the ware washing area to have standing water and a small amount of water flowing out of the covered clean-out drain. According to PIC, the trough drain is possibly broken under the slab, which is not allowing the water to drain. There are no observable pipes draining into it and the level of the water has not gone above the flood rim level. Multiple plumbing fixtures were used during the inspection, which did not appear to affect the standing water in the trough drain. PIC contacted a plumbing company to service the drain. Discussed the requirement to close the kitchen if an active backup happens and waste water begins to flow out of the floor drain and onto the floor. Re-inspection in 24 hours. Corrective Action: Correct prior to re-inspection.
