Facility The PIC was not able to provide evidence from their supplier that the supplements they use are safe to be added to food. The PIC stated that they've been in contact with Armando Navarro, a representative of MPC Global Contact Center (310-216-6056 ext. 64123509), the division of Herbalife that handles these inquiries. In their last communication, Armando requested a list of all of the ingredients that are not approved. The Health Department is not responsible for verifying non-regulated substances and their ingredients, as we are not subject matter experts. Instructed the PIC to obtain documentation from their supplier verifying that the dietary supplements being added to customer beverages are safe for being added to food. Until these substances have been verified as safe, the facility should not add them to food. This is a repeat violation that will be reassessed during the next reinspection on June 8th.
