Non-illness complaint inspection conducted in conjunction with a routine inspection. Complainant stated potential concerns regarding pest control and food from unsafe sources/adulterated foods. Person in charge stated he was not aware of the identified complaint, nor had the firm received any additional or similar complaints since. Inspector did not observe any active or deceased pests that were identified in the complaint. Furthermore, pest control records were provided/reviewed and the third party pest control provider did not observe any evidence of the identified pest in the establishment. Complaint is closed and unverifiable. Items to review for the follow-up physical recheck: Item #38: REPEAT VIOLATION - Discussed with management best practices to reduce or eliminate active fruit flies in the food facility. This may include additional treatment from the third party pest control provider, additional cleaning of floors/ceilings in areas with a build-up of debris and installing flying insect lights. Firm agreed to have pest control records available for review when the inspector returns. Item #55: REPEAT VIOLATION - Firm agreed to clean and sanitize the indicated areas. Furthermore, the firm agreed to clean these areas in the future at an increased frequency. Discussed with management creating cleaning schedule and having managers verify cleaning effectiveness daily or after each shift if deemed necessary by the firm.
