Routine inspection conducted at the facility on 05/28/2026 due to a potential illness complaint. Complaint is UNVERIFIED at this time. Items that require additional action: #15- Ensuring that foods are being stored according to cooking temperatures. #16- Ensuring that staff are washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes that are in continuous use every 4 hours. Also ensuring that three compartment sink at the bar is set up correctly. #22- Discussed with staff on being mindful for how much they are opening and closing the standing thee door refrigeration unit as it is a retail store unit, and not necessarily designed for restaurant use. #37- Ensuring that labeling information for cakes not made in house are available. Labels need to follow 2017 FDA Food Code standards. #39- Ensuring that any food or drink items are kept at least 6 inches from the ground. #44- Ensuring that serving trays or plates are stored inverted, so the risk of contamination on the food contact portion is reduced. #47- Ensuring that plastic grocery bags are no longer being used for food storage, only food grade bags. Also addressing the raw wood in the bar area, so that it can be easily cleanable. The Health Dept. will return on or after 06/07/2026. Any questions can be sent to Raymond.Miller@scottcountyiowa.gov Follow-up will be completed on or after 6/7/2026 by Physical Recheck.
