Routine inspection conducted on 01/23/2026. The facility has a norovirus/bodily fluid cleanup procedure, employee illness reporting agreement policy. Items that require additional action: #1- Discussed with the person in charge on taking a certified food protection manager course as there are significant foodborne illness risk factors within the facility. #16- During the time of inspection the owner was able to contact a plumber. #22- The facility agrees to monitor cold holding temperatures and temperature dials. #23- Facility manager agrees to begin date marking on house made products. #24- Facility manager agrees to begin to use paper documentation for their time as a control procedure, and to keep records on file for 6 months. #36- Facility manager agrees to obtain ambient air thermometers for dorm style refrigeration units. #41- Facility manager agrees to store wet wiping cloths in sanitizer solution. #48- Facility manager agrees to obtain new quaternary ammonium sanitizer test strips. Or use a different type of sanitizer, as they already have chlorine test strips. #51- Facility manager agrees to have grease trap serviced/cleaned. #55- Facility manager agrees to perform additional cleaning on on the flooring and near drains throughout the back area. At the recommendation of the Scott County Health Dept. the facility agrees to voluntarily close the facility, due to a lack of methods to wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes. The facility is not to re-open the facility until plumbing work is completed and the three compartment sink is functional. Any questions can be sent to Raymond.Miller@scottcountyiowa.gov Follow-up will be completed on or after 2/2/2026 by Physical Recheck.
