Routine inspection conducted at the facility on 01/06/2026. The facility has several certified food protection managers, employee illness reporting agreement policy, and a procedure to respond to norovirus/bodily fluids. Items that require additional action: #16- Facility manager agrees to perform additional cleaning on the prep cooler. #22- During the time of inspection, he manager on duty manually adjusted the temperature dial on the unit. They agree to monitor the temperature of the unit, and if it is unable to maintain a temperature to hold the sauces at or below 41 degrees F. they will submit a work order to have it repaired. In the meantime, the facility will keep the sauces in another refrigeration. #50- Manager agrees to address this issue, by adjusting the water heater (as done during previous inspection), adjusting temperature dials on the sinks, or by other means necessary. Long-term corrective action needed: #16 & #22- Discussed with the manager on these foodborne illness risk factors, and they agree on ensuring food contact surfaces are being kept clean and taking internal temperatures of food products, and not relying on ambient air thermometers during temperature checks. The health dept. will follow-up via physical re-inspection on or after 01/09/2026. Any questions can be sent to Raymond.Miller@scottcountyiowa.gov Follow-up will be completed on or after 1/16/2026 by Physical Recheck.
