Routine inspection conducted at the facility on 01/06/2026. The facility has a certified food protection manager, employee illness reporting agreement policy, and a procedure to respond to norovirus/bodily fluids. Item that requires additional action: #23- The facility needs to do additional training and monitoring to ensure products made in house and kept over 24 hours are date marked. Long-term corrective action discussions: #21, 22, 23- Discussed with the owner on the importance of continued monitoring of hot/cold temperatures, as well as date marking. As these items are foodborne illness risk factors, and they agree to be diligent with staff and provide additional training. Owner discussed potentially sending another staff member to a certified food protection manager course at SCHD in the Spring. The health dept. will follow up on or after 01/16/2026 with a physical re-inspection. Any questions or follow-up can be sent to Raymond.Miller@scottcountyiowa.gov Follow-up will be completed on or after 1/16/2026 by Physical Recheck.
