Routine inspection conducted at the facility on 09/02/2026 due to a non-illness complaint. Complaint is VERIFED. Complainant shared concerns that over the ventilation hoods in the hibachi area, as they claim to have had grease drip into their drink. Upon further investigating it appeared that on a few of the ventilation hoods, the small containers that catch grease were not aligned with the pipe, thus making it plausible for drippage. Owner agrees to stay diligent on ensuring these are always aligned to prevent this from happening again. Ventilation hoods themselves appeared to be cleaned. Routine inspection was conducted in conduction to the non-illness complaint. Several items mentioned above require additional action, and the owner agrees to address them all. As well as provide additional training to staff on items #9,10,14,15, and 16, as these items have been noted previously and require long- term corrective action to ensure long-term compliance. The inspector recommends the owner provide additional training to all staff. The heath dept. will follow-up with the facility on 09/14/2026. Any questions can be sent to Raymond.Miller@scottcountyiowa.gov Follow-up will be completed on or after 9/14/2026 by Physical Recheck.
