Before Use After Cleaning - Utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment are not sanitized before use after cleaning.

Observed no sanitizer available in kitchen, prep, bar or grill area. Person in charge made chlorine sanitizer bucket to be between 50-100 ppm at time of inspection.

Cooking & Baking Equipment - The food-contact surfaces of cooking and baking equipment are not cleaned at least every 24 hours and/or the cavities and door seals of microwave ovens are not cleaned at least every 24 hours by using the manufacturer's recommended cleaning procedure.

Observed yellow build up in microwave at self serve area. Employee cleaned microwave at time of inspection.

Removing Dead or Trapped Birds, Insects, Rodents, and Other Pests.

Observed dead insects at the bottom of Coca-Cola cooler and Dasani cooler. Employee cleaned the bottom of both coolers at time of inspection.

Nonfood-contact surfaces not cleaned at frequency to prevent buildup of residue

Observed build up on the wire shelf of the coca cola cooler.

Hot Holding - Time/temperature control for safety hot food was not maintained at temperatures in accordance with the Food Code.

Observed hot dogs on the roller grill to be below 135*F. Person in charge increased temperature on roller grill to be above 135*F at time of inspection.

Cold Holding - Time/temperature control for safety cold food was not maintained at temperatures in accordance with the Food Code.

Observed tomatoes stored in the icewell next to warmer and roller grill to be above 41*F.

Eating, Drinking, or Using Tobacco - An employee was seen eating, drinking, or using a form of tobacco in designated areas where the contamination of exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; unwrapped single-service and single-use articles; or other items needing protection could result.

Observed food employee preparing burgers on grill to be eating. Person in charge notified food employee at time of inspection.

When to Wash - Food Employees did not clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms according to Food Code guidelines.

Observed food employee on the grill to not change gloved and wash hands in between task. Person in charge notified food employee to remove gloves and wash hands in between task at time of inspection.

Physical facilities not maintained in good repair & cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean

Observed hole in ceiling in kitchen prep area.

At time of inspection by authorized REGULATORY AUTHORITY inspectors: (1) A certified food service operations manager must be present in the food service area and on duty at all times of business operation, and must present a FOOD MANAGER PERMIT or card to the authorized REGULATORY AUTHORITY inspector at the time of inspection, or; (2) For food service operations where no manager is certified, eighty percent (80%) of required food handler staff shall obtain a (3) three years FOOD HANLDER CARD from the City of Kansas City, Missouri Health Department either upon completion of a FOOD HANDLER'S course through the Health Department or upon the Health Department's approval of a comparable FOOD HANDLER PERMIT or card from another provider.
